Our Services

At ROAR, we specialize in providing EMDR Wellbeing Groups which research has shown to increase markers of wellbeing and decrease burnout in staff groups.  We understand the unique challenges faced by professionals in demanding roles and are dedicated to offering effective, evidence-based support.

GTEP

The GTEP for a group of 8 – 10 people
It is mostly silent work but with the support of the facilitators if needed so no one has to share with the group.
Participants will be invited to focus on a recent upsetting event (it may be a collective experience in a team, or it might be any individual experience that has been upsetting recently at work).
By the end of the session we would expect participants to feel calmer and stronger and “regain their balance” and no longer feel as upset or distress when bringing this event to mind
Before the session we will have asked people to complete screening questionnaires to ensure this is the right group for them.
The session is then structured to start with a calming exercise, process the chosen event and finish with a calming exercise

Calm and Resilience Groups

The Calm and Resilience Groups are for people who don't want to focus on specific upsetting events but do want to build in calming and resilience practises - which are part of the GTEP as well.

In this group we will cover information about why our bodies respond to stressful events the way they do and ways of calming yourself or building confidence and resilience through imagery and meditation

If you're not sure yet whether either of the above groups would suit your staff or perhaps you're at the start trying to understand a big recent event that has impacted your organisation.  We can offer consultation with one of us to think about your organisation's wellbeing needs.
